Overview

MINERVA leverages unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with cameras to enhance coastal safety through real-time monitoring. The system processes multiple video feeds through advanced preprocessing and image alignment techniques to minimize visual noise. It identifies hazardous beach zones and detects human presence, distinguishing between different beach user categories including swimmers and surfers.
